Organised and hosted by Cornwall-based Leica Photographer Hugh Hastings, with Robin Sinha, Leica Photographer and Akademie Ambassador, this exclusive Workshop is based at one of Cornwall’s finest privately-owned hotels, the exclusive Hotel Tresanton in St Mawes, Cornwall. Leica cameras and lenses will be provided for the use of all participants during the Workshop.Guests will enjoy Dinner, Bed & Breakfast accommodation at Tresanton, which will also become our base for indoor discussions and reviewing images.Both Hugh and Robin are experienced in using Leica cameras in the UK and on overseas locations and will provide a wealth of knowledge for how to work with new locations and local people to get the most memorable images from your travels.
Hotel Tresanton
Tresanton is a cluster of houses on the edge of St Mawes, one of the prettiest fishing villages in Cornwall.
All rooms have views across the sea towards St Anthony’s lighthouse. Tresanton has 30 rooms and suites, a restaurant with large terraces, a room for private parties, a dogs’ bar, a beach club and a private sailing boat
There is no muzak whatsoever at Tresanton only the sound of the waves and the occasional sea shanty.

Photography Workshop
Tuesday 1 May
Hugh will give a stimulating talk on the magic of Leica, shooting with film (as he does using Tri-X uprated to 1600 ISO for his personal work), and what is good and bad with the latest post production methods.
Welcome dinner with Hugh and Robin from Leica.
Wednesday 2 May
Breakfast
Camera hand-out session.
Hugh and Robin will take attendees to shooting location by St Mawes ferry to Falmouth.
Lunch in Falmouth.
Second shooting location.
Return to St Mawes by ferry
Afternoon at Tresanton for images review and daily round-up.
Early evening free time.
Dinner.
Thursday 3 May
Breakfast.
Hugh and Robin will take attendees to shooting location by minibus.
Lunch on location.
Second shooting location.
Return to St Mawes.
Afternoon at Tresanton for images review and daily round-up.
